Center for Insurance Studies
The Program is designed for students who are primarily interested in careers in the insurance and financial services industry. The program integrates technology, written communication, interpersonal skill, and ideas relating to sound business practices into the insurance and financial services curriculum.
Students will learn the techniques associated with the use of database, spreadsheets and word processing software for solving insurance/financial planning related problems, as well as, the techniques of effective business writing and producing effective business presentations. The student will also acquire an in-depth knowledge of the various areas of insurance/financial services including property and liability insurance, life and health insurance, securities, tax, and the principles of risk management, along with the current business practices in these areas....read more
